The “Q’eswachaka” bridge requires annual maintenance because the straw (Ichu) that it is made out of begins to decompose. Since the Inca times the reconstruction is carried out in 3 days (before the second Sunday of June) and on the 4th day the ceremony concludes with a folk festival, where local people share their unique traditions and customs to the world.
5am pick up from your accommodation and drive to Cusipata (1.5 hours) for breakfast (included) in a local house. From there we start our journey through the beautiful landscape with exuberant flora and fauna.
