This tour to Machu Picchu is designed to get the most out of your trip visiting the following sites: the city of Cusco, the Sacred Valley of the Incas and a full day tour of Machu Picchu. You will experience the beauty of these magical places and get the opportunity to explore the ancient cities of Pisaq, Ollantaytambo and Chincheros.
Upon your arrival, we take you to your hotel where our staff will give you a briefing of the wonderful journey that awaits. Enjoy your day with a tour of Cusco “the capital of the Incas”.
Half day tour in Cusco
Pick up from your hotel at 1:20 PM to start the tour and visit the following places.
The cathedral: A marvel of religious art.
Qoricancha: The temple of the sun.
Sacsayhuaman: A majestic place with impressive stone works, some of up to 120 tons.
Qenqo: (The Labyrinth) A religious center dedicated to the worship of the earth.
Puka Pukara: (The red place) It was used as a military control center.
Tambomachay: (Temple of Water) A place for the worshiping of water.
In the morning (7:50a.m.) we pick you up at your hotel to go to Chinchero driving through the potato and corn fields until we reach the archaeological center of Moray, a beautiful place of circular constructions that in Inca times was an agricultural center where plants were acclimatized to distribute them to various places of the empire. Then we continue to the picturesque town of Maras to enjoy wonderful views of the peaks and snow-capped mountains. Afterwards we go to the salt mines to see how the local people still extracts salt using ancient methods. We return to Cusco at 2:30p.m.
After breakfast, we pick you up from your hotel at 7:10 am. This is a full day excursion to Urubamba. We start at the ancient market in Pisaq, a traditional place full of color where local artisans sell handcrafted souvenirs. After the Sacred Valley, we go to Ollantaytambo station (16.36) to board the train to Aguas Calientes. A staff from your hotel will be at the station and the guide to Machu Picchu will meet you to brief you about the next day
Overnight in Aguas Calientes
Tourist Train: 16:36 hrs with the Inca Rail train company (Excellent time to enjoy the landscape during the train journey)
After breakfast your guide will pick you up from your hotel (5:40 am) to take the bus up to Machu Picchu and start the guided tour (approximately 2 hours) while enjoying the sunrise. Then, you can explore this mysterious city on your own and take pictures
Optional Walk: You can visit one of the 2 mountains (Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu). It is advisable to book your ticket to Huayna Picchu in advance, only 400 people can enter daily.
After enjoying a magical time in Mach Picchu, we take the bus to Aguas Calientes for lunch. At 7:00p.m. you will board the train to Ollantaytambo and later return to your hotel in Cusco
Tourist Train: 18:30 hrs with the Inca Rail train company
Note: The purchase of the local train for Peruvians is subject to availability.

At an agreed time, we will take you from your hotel to Cusco airport.
