Tour Overview

Visit the enigmatic lost city of the Incas by train on one of the best tours to Machu Picchu. Machu Picchu is one of the most visited 7 wonders of the world. It has beautiful stone-based structures that were carved with great precision and detail. It is the most important Inca construction due to it’s complexity and location.

On this trip, you can enjoy the Sacred Valley of the Incas, the subtropical flora and fauna, as well as all the beautiful landscapes closer to Machu Picchu. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes (a small town just below Machu Picchu), a tourist bus will take you right to the entrance of this unique place. You will receive a guided tour of the so-called “Lost City of the Incas”. There will be free time to take some panoramic photos of the ancient citadel with all the splendid scenery that surrounds it. Afterwards you can explore this magical site on your own!

We have daily departures for the 1-day Tour to Machu Picchu. It is possible to book 1 month in advance in low season (Nov-Feb) and 2 or 3 months in advance in high season (Mar-Oct). Due to the high demand, we recommend making the reservation with as much anticipation as possible. You can check the availability of this tour before making the purchase.

How to make my reservation for the tour to Machu Picchu?
To book the tour to Machu Picchu full day, you have to complete the reservation form and we will send you all the details about the tour to Machu Picchu 1 day. We will give you an answer within 24 hours. Also, please, it may be that our mail may fall into your junk mail box (spam).

If you do not receive any response, please write us directly to the email: info@machupicchutravel.org, you can also write to us at WhatsApp: +51 968 685 277, communication by this means is immediate.
Do you request a prepayment to secure the reservation?
Yes, we request a prepayment of $ 130.00 dollars per person for the 1-day tour to Machu Picchu, which has to be done when you make the reservation, it is to be able to secure your reservation, the rest of the balance, you pay when you arrive at the City of Cusco.

You can see our payment methods here:
The rates indicated on the website in what currency is it?
It is in US Dollars. Because it is an international currency and is handled by most countries.
Should I worry about the height of the City of Cusco and what should I do?
The city of Cusco is at 3350 meters above sea level, if you come from a city at sea level, surely you will feel the blow of the height, the lack of oxygen, the agitated breathing, the headache, these will be the symptoms.

But do not worry, having some coca leaf mates (which are given in the hotels), resting the first day of arrival in Cusco, it will be enough to make you feel very well and you can do the tour to Machu Picchu normally.
How and how much does a taxi cost me from the Cuso Airport to the hotel in the City Center?
When you arrive at the Cusco airport (Alejandro Velazco Astete International Airport), from where you take your bags, there are several taxi drivers offering taxi service, I recommend that you ask the taxi drivers: How much is the cost to the address of your hotel? Normally the cost is about S /. 15.00 to S /. 20.00 Soles for the taxi, remember to always pay the price of the service beforehand.

Note: There are some hotels that include the transfer from the airport to the hotel, and they actually wait for you with your name on a sign, and take you to a car (taxi), please ask the person if the taxi is already paid through the hotel and talk to the driver, who will pay for the transfer?

I give you this warning because it happens many times that hotels offer the transfer service and in the end the car driver charges you for the transfer service and it may cause you inconvenience
What hotel to book in the city of Cusco?
In the City of Cusco, being a tourist place, there are many accommodation options from luxury hotels, tourist hotels, hostels, hostels and airbnb.

My recommendation to consider which hotel to book, you should consider the location, which is close to the Plaza de Armas of Cusco, this is basically so that you are close to restaurants, galleries, museums and you can better explore the city of Cusco.

Another consideration you must have to reserve your accommodation are the comments left by travelers who have already stayed at the hotel, who have positive comments and a good rating.
Are the transfers for the tour to Machu Picchu from any hotel?
Yes, our services for the tour to Machu Picchu, include transfers from your hotel whatever the location (within the City of Cusco), pick up for the tour is included and we will leave you when the tour ends.
