Enjoy the main tourist attractions of Cusco, the archaeological capital of Latin America with its beautiful buildings, typical colonial streets, charming people, and wonderful archaeological centers that will captivate you, in addition to a visit to the magical citadel of Machu Picchu in our all inclusive tour.
Pick up at the airport or land terminal to take you to your hotel. You will have free time in the morning to explore the city. In the afternoon, after lunch (13:30 hours) we start the city tour. We will visit archaeological sites located in the upper part of the city, including Qoricancha, known as the temple of the sun in Inca times, this was the most important religious temple of all Tawantinsuyo (original name of the Inca empire) with some of the finest Inca stone constructions. Next is Sacsayhuaman where there is a beautiful panoramic view of the entire city. Here we can admire the cyclopean masonry construction made by the Incas. Some walls were built with stones weighing between 5 to 128 tons. We continue to Qenqo, another ceremonial place dedicated to Pachamama (Mother Earth). This is a natural formation that the Incas carved and adapted to carry out their ceremonies with a very complex architectural work. After is Puka Pukara, the entrance checkpoint to the city of Cusco. We finish in Tambomachay, the temple dedicated to water.
Morning pick up at your hotel to drive to Ollantaytambo station where we board the train to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu town). From there we take the bus up to the archaeological site of Machu Picchu (25 minutes) and start our 2 hour guided tour through all the main parts. Afterwards there will be free time (the amount of free time will depend on the arrival and departure time of the train) to take photos and explore the site on your own. Next, we return to Aguas Calientes for lunch; In the afternoon you will board the train back (the schedule will be according to the train service of your choice). We pick you up at Ollantaytambo train station and take you back to Cusco (the arrival time depends on the chosen train service).
